&lt;p&gt;I remember the day that the question of looking at &lt;strong&gt;homes &lt;/strong&gt;on the &lt;strong&gt;westside&lt;/strong&gt; was on the table. I had always lived in a home on the &lt;strong&gt;east side&lt;/strong&gt; of &lt;strong&gt;Albuquerue&lt;/strong&gt; and had never ventured across the river. Still today there is a good amount of Albquerbuque that will not make it &lt;strong&gt;west&lt;/strong&gt; of the river. I call it fear of the unknown. It is really a case of the grass is greener on the other side of the river.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;When I made that trip across the river 9 years ago I ended up purchasing a home within 2 weeks. That is how appealling it was to me. Home are newer. Schools are newer, shopping areas are newer. It was just an amazing new feeling.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Here is an example of a &lt;strong&gt;home &lt;/strong&gt;on the&lt;strong&gt; Westside &lt;/strong&gt;of&lt;strong&gt; Albuquerque&lt;/strong&gt; off of Montano. Now keep in mind this is a resale home and it is still much new and in way better condition than most &lt;strong&gt;homes&lt;/strong&gt; on the eastside of town.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
